I’m tired of them mocking me with, “It’ll be better tomorrow,” What if tomorrow never comes? What if all I remember is sorrow? They say tomorrow is a day away, Tomorrow for me, an eternity, For if my happiness lies in its wake, It has never come to be. You don’t know what will happen. You cannot tell my future. All I know is, when tomorrow comes, My life will be bursting at the suture. Tomorrow is merely imaginary, And when my despondency ebbs away, I will not call that miracle tomorrow, I will smile and call it, “today.”
